My husband and I took Guy Blair with us and drove up to Fort Worth to visit my sister, Nancy, and celebrate my mother's birthday. We invited our friends, Fred Nabors and Ron Dougherty, to join us. At the birthday dinner, we were also joined by our family friends Vicki and Dan Pier. Ron and Fred accompanied us on a couple of the outings during this trip, and we thank them for the pictures on this page (and the narration that goes with them).

My Mother's Birthday Dinner in Fort Worth

We had a birthday dinner for my mother at the Chop House in Fort Worth. Everyone save Fred was with us; since it was during the week, Fred couldn't get away from work early enough to get from Van Alstyne to Fort Worth. The Chop House is in Sundance Square. In the picture at left, we have (left to right): my husband, Ron, Vicki, Dan, Guy, myself, my mother, my sister Nancy and her husband Karl.

At Campisi's in Dallas

After the birthday dinner on Wednesday, we stayed at my sister's for another day or two before heading back to the B&B. Since Fred could not join us on Wednesday evening, we planned ahead so he could come down for dinner with us on Thursday, and we came over to Dallas to make it easier. We chose Campisi's over on Mockingbird.

At dinner were my husband and I, Fred and Ron, Karl and Nancy, Guy, my mother and some other friends of my husband's. Again, Ron was the photographer, and you can click on the thumbnail images below to see some of the pictures he took:

We enjoyed our trip up to Fort Worth to celebrate my mother's birthday, but we had guests coming in Friday night in San Antonio, so we left on Friday morning to return home.
