A Unique Bed & Breakfast In the Heart of San Antonio's Historic District
In mid-December, Guy Blair was going to be making a trip down to San Antonio from Green Bay to do something connected with his old parish, and so I planned to come down for a few days so that I could see him. Of course, it is always a pleasure to see Ron and Prudence, shown here at left in the dining room of their Bed and Breakfast- Ruckman Haus- and I wish that I could come down more often. I got a flight down to San Antonio on Tuesday morning and I was at Ruckman Haus by lunchtime. We ate lunch with Ron and Prudence, and then Guy had some errands to run and we did some Christmas shopping for Ron and Prudence while we were out. We had dinner at Tomatillo's, if I recall correctly, which is one of Ron and Prudence's favorite restaurants, and, when we got back, I snapped what I thought was a good picture of Guy and Ron Ruckman in the Ruckman Haus dining room.
I also took what I think is a very good movie, touring through the downstairs area of Ruckman Haus and looking at the decorations. You can view that movie using the player at right.
I really enjoyed my visit with Prudence and Ron, as I always do, and it was good to see Guy again and hear more stories about his new church in Green Bay.
