April 3-7, 2018:
A Visit to Seoul, South Korea

 

For some time, Fred and I and our friend Greg have been planning our next major cruise, and we have settled on two cruises back-to-back on the same ship. The two cruises will take us from Singapore to Barcelona, Spain. Since Fred and I would have to fly to Singapore anyway to pick up the cruise, I found a routing which, for actually less than a non-stop Dallas-Singapore flight, would allow us to stop in Seoul, South Korea on the way.

This first set of album pages will cover our travel from Dallas to Seoul (we leave at noon on April 3rd but don't arrive in Seoul until just before midnight on April 4th) and our two-day, three-night stay in Korea's capital. We did quite a bit during our two full days in Seoul. At first, I was sorry that I hadn't allocated more time to tour that city before our cruise, perhaps staying three or four days. But when we got there, we found that Korea was still in winter's grip, with the weather rainy and cold, so perhaps it was better that we were there for a shorter time.

Fred and I took so many pictures and movies, that putting them all on one album page would make that page unwieldy, and so, as I have done before, there will be a page for each day of our stay here in Seoul. At left is an index to these pages so that you can jump directly to the one that might interest you. Of course, you can also begin with the first page and go day by day through the entire trip.
