Usually, I would put business trips on the Business Trip page, but I do that only if there are some business-related pictures that I took. When the only pictures I took were sightseeing, I give such trips their own page, but indicate in the title that it was a trip for business.

This week, I did a class for a warehousing firm in Edison, New Jersey. The week was very unremarkable, and I did not do any sightseeing (even if there were sights to be seen in Edison).

But on my way to JFK Airport on Friday afternoon, I did use my camera to take some movies of my travels across Staten Island. From Edison, I took Route 1 North to I-287 and then took that east towards Staten Island. From New Jersey to Staten Island there is a major bridge which is known locally as the Outerbridge Crossing- probably because it is the southernmost bridge from New York (Staten Island) to New Jersey. I made a movie as I crossed it, and you can watch that movie at right.

From the Outerbridge Crossing, I took an expressway that runs up the west side of the island to intersect with I-278, which is the expressway that crosses the northern portion of Staten Island from New Jersey to Long Island. Of course, I took I-278 east to cross the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. It was this crossing that I recorded on film in a series of four movies.
