This fall has been a lot of traveling, what with my 50th High School Reunion in October and our landmark trip to the Galapagos and Machu Picchu in November. It is nice to be at home for a while, and back in my pattern of doing Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for Fred and our friends. Of course, today is Turkey Day, and Fred and I have invited our friend Lou, Karl and Nancy from out in Grapevine, our friends Justin and Gary and, of course, Greg. (Justin and Gary arrived later since they have Christmas decorations to begin putting up for their company.)

Going around the dinner table we begin with Nancy at the far left, Lou in the burgundy shirt, Greg, Fred (standing), me (standing) and the Gary, Justin and Karl.

The cats- Lucky, Tyger and Zack- were wandering around as well, of course. Before dinner, Fred and I took some candid shots of the group, and you can use the clickable thumbnails below to have a look at some of them:

We were fortunate to have Nancy and Karl with us; they are often down in San Antonio with Nancy's sister, Prudence, for holidays, but I believe there was a trip that Karl and Nancy were taking in the next day or two that kept them here in the Metroplex.

As usual, I cooked a turkey and a couple of other dishes, while Lou and Nancy both contributed with dishes of their own and Greg brought some wine for the group.

We always have a good time at these gatherings, and this Thanksgiving was no exception!
