Return to the Index for Our Trip to Quebec City |
Today, we leave independently for home, having enjoyed Montreal and Quebec City immensely. Before we head out, though, Fred, Nancy, Guy, and Prudence will be taking a final morning walk.
A Morning Walk
The pictures that Fred brought back this morning were of some of the architecture nearby to the Manoir d'Auteuil. The four of them walked about a mile and a half, making a big circle through the city walls, over through downtown, and back along the Grande Allee and through the Orleans Gate.

Our Trip Home
When we all left the hotel, Ron and Prudence, Karl and Nancy, and Guy went back to the train station for their train back to Montreal. There, they made their way back to the Montreal airport to catch their Air Canada flight back to DFW. There, Ron, Prudence, and Guy got a second flight back down to San Antonio. This was necessitated so that they could all avoid American Airlines which, due to some difficulties they've had in the past, they don't fly anymore.
Fred and I took a cab to the Quebec City airport- a 30-minute ride from the hotel. There, we got on an American Eagle flight to Philadelphia where we changed to a larger American Airlines plane to DFW. Everything went smoothly, and we were back in Dallas just after lunch. I took some pictures during our approach into Philadelphia and on our climbout on the way to Dallas. You can see a few of these pictures below:

This brought our Canada trip to an end. As has been true with all the trips we have taken with all these friends of ours- short ones and long ones- we enjoyed it immensely. All of these folks are a joy to travel with, and we hope to see more of the world with them in the future. Our thanks go to Prudence and Nancy, Karl and Ron, and Guy for making this trip something special.
