Prudence Ruckman's Birthday Party in San Antonio
Prudence's Birthday Party
A week or so ago Ron Ruckman called me to invite me down to San Antonio for Prudence's birthday party on the 26th and, since I did not have an out-of-town trip for that week, told him I would be happy to drive down (and work in a day or two at Data Junction in Austin at the same time). So I did drive down, arriving in the late afternoon.
Ron had directed everyone to gather at La Fonda Restaurant, one of their favorite places, unbeknownst to Prudence, of course. So I went straight there to find quite a few other folks (most of whom I did not know) there already. We sat around and talked for a while until Ron arrived with Prudence, who was as surprised as I have ever seen her.
The party was a great success, and I think Prudence was more than pleased that so many of her friends showed up for this, her 49th birthday. Guy was there, of course, and he and I spent a good deal of time talking.

I don't know most of the people in the many pictures that I took, but I wanted to retain them in this album in case I do some special pages for Prudence and Ron at some point. Since I took so many pictures, I have chosen to put them in a slideshow, and that slideshow is at right.
