February 25: Brothers of the Lamp

One of the favorite spots for the cats is the desk right under the warm light of the desk lamp. One, two, and sometimes three cats can usually be found there- although when it's Lucky, he takes up most of the space by himself. Today, its Bob, Cole, and Zack.

As I said, when Lucky's under the lamp, there is barely room for another cat. But today, Cole already had the catbird seat when Lucky came up to join him for a nap.

April 23: Olefactory, My Dear Watson

When I toss worn clothes on the bed, one or more of the cats can be sure to find them and spread out on them. It happens even quicker if they are fresh from the dryer. Sometimes, all four cats will find a spot, but today it is just three of them.

May 1: A Body at Rest will Continue at Rest Unless...

While underneath the lamp is a prime spot, on sunny days lying at the top of the stairs is Bob's preferred spot.

If you can't be under the lamp, you can at least be close to it.

July 14: I Think I'll Just Stay Here

The afternoon when the previous set of pictures was taken, Fred left for home taking Bob with him.

Cole and I

On the day he was to return, whichever cat he has with him tends to hide out, knowing that when he goes to take a shower, the next item on the agenda will be to plop them in the carrier. To forestall a dreaded car trip, they will tend to hide out, and today Fred looked all over the house and could not find Bob anywhere. He even called me to tell me so. There are, sadly, lots of places for a cat to hide in just about any house, but more at Fred's.

After much searching, Fred got lucky when Bob popped his head up at just the wrong time. But before getting him into the carrier, Fred thought the image worth of a snapshot.

Oops, I think he sees me!

When Fred arrived at my house, I couldn't get up to greet him, since Cole had just settled down in my lap (as you can see in the picture at left.

August 29: Sleepy Time in the Study

It's rare when we don't have at least one cat sleeping somewhere with us in the study, and sometimes we have all four.

December 11: Me and All the Cats

I had just come up to put an eyedrop in, and had nodded off for a bit, waking up to Fred taking a picture of all four of the cats who had come up to see what I was doing.

December 15: Lucky and Bob

Another common place to find a cat or two is in the guest room. Bob has a favorite chair there, and sometimes Cole will curl up on the bed. But today, in a rare occurrence, it is Lucky and Bob who are sharing the bed.
