Well, it's Monday morning, and for the next week, everything that Fred does at the greenhouses where he has worked for over 27 years will be the "next-to-last" time he does it. For some weeks now, Fred has been slowly carting home to his own greenhouse those plants that he has collected over the years (mostly on our trips) and nurtured in a special area of the greenhouses at Crump Gardens that he takes care of.

Fred has taken some pictures of what his own greenhouse looks like now, with the many new additions he has brought home, and I wanted to include some of those pictures here. I've placed thumbnails for a few of them below. To view a full-size picture, just click on the appropriate thumbnail:

Fred has chosen today to take some final pictures of the place with which he has become so familiar over the past quarter-century, and I want to include some of them in this photo album. As you can assume, the vast majority of the pictures in this photo album were either taken by me, or taken by someone else when I was along. In other words, I've actually seen the subjects in the photos at the time they were taken. But this page is an exception.

Although I wasn't with Fred today (I have never been at the greenhouses on a workday, save for the occasional closing-up on a Saturday or Sunday), Fred and I are partners, and a great many of his pictures are integrated throughout this album from 1992 onwards.

So, its not a stretch for me to add these pictures to this photo album because, since 1992, it has really been our photo album.

I don't know enough about the greenhouses to be able to offer many comments, so I will just put Fred's pictures into a slideshow.
