New Year's Eve at My House
Fred got off early from the greenhouses today, and so we arranged to do a movie at lunchtime with some of our friends. We all met at the theatre and, after the movie, came back to my house for a while. The group consisted of
Fred and Lou
and our friends
Tom and John.
As you can see, Chip was also in attendance.
We all had plans for New Year's Eve. Tom and John would be with friends at a gathering on their street, and Lou was going to spend the evening with his Mom and grandmother. And Fred and I would be up at Ron and Jay's house in Plano. So we just spent some time after the movie chatting and exchanging some late Christmas gifts. The topic of conversation happened to be Prudence's sister Nancy when I was taking a short movie.
New Year's Eve at Ron and Jay's
After Lou, Tom and John had left, I did a stint on the exercise bike and then Fred and I headed up to Ron and Jay's house in Plano for New Year's Eve. They have always been gracious to host us on New Year's Eve; sometimes it is just the four of us while sometimes there are more folks. Tonight it will just be us four.
Jay, as usual, prepared an excellent spread of hors d'oeuvres and also a light supper. We played pool and noshed, and then played some cards and poker. At midnight, we watched the ball drop in Times Square (via replay) and made use of our noisemakers.
It was an enjoyable evening, and Fred and I left to come back home about two in the morning.
