The week after my trip to Fort Worth found me making a trip to the smallest place I've been to so far- Thorp, Wisconsin. One of our largest clients, ITT, has a subsidiary here who will be using EDP-AUDITOR, and under the ITT master contract these subsidiaries can request on-site training which they did and which I conducted.

The trip to Thorp was about 300 miles, and took me about six hours. Counting the time to get to O'Hare, wait for my flight, fly to the nearest airport to Thorp, rent a car, and drive the last sixty miles or so to the town, it was actually quicker to drive, as the trip only took me a little over five hours.
Aside from that, it was November, and while we were a bit past the peak of fall color, still and all it was a beautiful drive, once I got outside Chicago, and onto my route up to and through Madison and north to Wausau. I took one of my few pictures as I drove into Thorp, heading towards one of the few motels in the area (where the ITT folks were kind enough to make reservations for me).
The class went well, although I was a bit bored in the evenings. Fortunately, I'd brought a good deal of reading material, and I also had dinner with the class one evening. I also drove around the small town after class one day, admiring the homes and enjoying the slow pace of life in Thorp. The town was really picturesque and the people very friendly. I took two other pictures here in Thorp, and while they aren't of notable sights that you'd recognize, I'm going to include them here anyway.
